BSCC Walking Group
Join the Beaufort Street Community Centre Walking Group and step up your health and wellbeing!
We will meet once a week for a brisk, steady-paced walk designed to improve fitness and energy. Walking regularly can enhance cardiovascular health, strengthen muscles and bones, and boost mental clarity. It’s an enjoyable way to stay active, reduce stress, and connect with others. Whether you're looking to improve your fitness or simply expand your existing exercise routine, our group is the perfect way to make walking a regular part of your life! These sessions are suitable for those who have maintained a regular exercise routine over the last 4 to 6 months, and have a moderate level of fitness. Not suitable for those returning to fitness or recovering from injury or surgery.
Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring yourself, water and a sense of humour! We’ll be walking for upto 90 minutes and the walk will be led by a Centre Member.
There will be an optional opportunity to visit a local cafe or return to the Centre after the walk for a cuppa and a chat.
Note these new classes will run weekly for 3 weeks during March on a trial basis, and if popular will continue in term 2. If you’re interested in a walking group for those returning to fitness, contact us here and let us know.
3 sessions:
Starting Monday 10th March - Ends 24th March
9am - 10.30am (approx for walk only)
