Pen, Ink & Wash with Chris Belton
Pen and ink have been the tools of artists and illustrators for many centuries. Wash drawings are given the delicate look of a watercolour by using a brush to paint on washes of watercolour or diluted inks. Join Chris this term and learn all about this beautiful technique.
Materials required:
-Water colour paper
-Indian ink (black) & a few coloured water based inks
-Water colour brushes (small to medium)
-Various pens (fineline e.g. preppy, artline, uni-ball) in black, and a white pen can be handy
A Water vessel
About Chris:
Chris originally trained in graphic design, followed later with fine art, and has been teaching art to adults from home for the last six years. She was also a jazz dance teacher for 30+ years and started and ran a dance school, but always kept up her love of art. Chris enjoys working in and with most mediums, especially pastel, watercolour and acrylics.
Chris believes it is innately human to create in some way - although there are techniques to master, it's in the practice that you learn as in most endeavours. She sees herself as a guide and facilitator as much as a teacher and hopes you'll find satisfaction, meditation and fun along the way.
