Work on your own Flowering Snowball Quilt, featuring beautiful gentle curves - the perfect start to your hand curved piecing journey.
Requirements:
Pattern and template set - supplied
Cutting mat, ruler and small rotary cutter - Mel suggests a 28mm cutter but a 18mm is ideal for the concave shapes.
HB mechanical lead pencil and sandpaper board
General sewing supplies - fine needles and pins, thread, scissors etc.
Fabric Requirements (for a Lap Size Flowering Snowball Quilt):
Quilt Size: 48in x 60in (1.2m x 1.5m)
24 Liberty Tana Lawn Fat Eighths - in shades of aqua, pink, and orange with the occasional pop of green
10cm Liberty Tana Lawn - Capel Sorbet green for block centres
Low volume background fabrics - either:
2m of cotton patchwork fabric or
1.6m of Liberty Tana Lawn or
1.6m of Lightweight Linen
Please Note:
If you'd like to make a larger quilt - 72in x 84in (1.8m x 2.1m) - Background fabric requirements are 3.5m
1 session: Thursday 31st October
10am - 2pm
